That doesn't surprise me. As soon as I find something that works, it
usually can't be found again :-).
I haven't found any modern PCMCIA wireless card that works on my
ThinkPad 600 with SuSE 9.2 Professional. SuSE 9.3 wouldn't work
in the limited (228 available RAM), and SuSE 10.0 didn's see any
32-bit CardBus cards because of an interrupt conflict.
If only I could get OS X Tiger running on a ThinkPad :-). I hate
the Apple keyboards (actually any laptop with a touchpad).
