Well, they are usb but plugged into the regular keyboard & mouse ports
with adapters. I also tested with an old non-usb keyboard & mouse &
had the same problem.
Someone added to my gentoo bugzilla sayiong that gentoo had this problem
for them, but not ubuntu.
