[V]HDL is more an engineering thing.  It is a description language for defining logic in a chip.  It is used to program FPGAs and the like.  I will be using it to build FIR and IIR filters on a FPGA, so need to pick it up.  It is just being introduced to the intro (core) curriculum, so I missed the introduction.  Now I need to know it.
