So, BookScan indicates that more Ruby than Python books sold in
December. That's totally congruent with "the new shiny thing" theory
I maintain. I also note that the overall buzz for Ruby on Rails was
up during the last quarter of 2005. Great. We'll see how it all plays
out. Just to be clear, I'm not saying that Ruby won't command a certain
amount of attention, because I'm sure it will. Rather, it's got a large
mountain to climb before the installed base gets anywhere near that of
"traditional" LAMP.
