web picture gallery

Hello

Just a ping to see what is considered (today) the best app for making a
WEB picture gallery of a directory (and subs) of images. Including PSD
images. Any opinions? I tried KDE, which was not so bad. But it did not
handle all image types. The gallery can be static. But, letting people
upload/annotate and all is also possibly interesting.
