I use an insulin pump.  One of the advantages of the pump, aside from the 
fact it delivers insulin 24 hours a day at various rates, is you can graph 
ane examine your food intake (carbohydrates), vs. exercise, vs insulin 
delivery.  All of the pumps about which I know use M$ for their software. 
I've used a pump since june of '81.  The first one I used was just an 
electrical pump.  The next and rest have all been sofftware controled. 
First one that I used that had recallo memory just did insulin delivery.  I 
downloaded it into a 286 box, I think, that was running win 3.1?   Not even 
capable of displaying it in a spreadsheet.  You could transfer the data. 
The pump I use now is a Deltec Cosmo, by Smiths.  It has the blood glucose 
meter fastened to it with an infrared interface.  It comes with a CD for the 
program, but there is a better program that is at their website.  The whole 
deal is I need aM$ 98 or XP to use it. :<(
