Perhaps, perhaps, but if I remember well its ears looked suspiciously like
a dog's. This is not to say I don't believe in dragons. As a matter of
fact, I'm convinced flying saucer sightings are simply misinterpreted
dragon sightings, the dragon being somewhat round of shape after eating
a whole throng of dwarves, complete with poneys. Of course, the fiery
turbulent digestion of a well-fed dragon accounts for the lights in the
sky.

(Did I guess wrong that a dragon was in the mind of the OP?)
