Oops. Hit the send too quickly.

You want to change the timezone to use System V style time zones. You 
can use tzconfig for that. Then you'd want MST7MDT, I think for mountain 
time in Colorado (I use EST5EDT).

Then make sure you've set UCT=no in /etc/default/rcS
