Printer drivers

Well, one last issue with my new box. I have a Canon S900 printer, which
has no driver at linuxprinting.org, but does at turboprint (which is where
I got one for my old machine).

So I download the AMD64 driver (built on Linux 2.4.1) and it says :

# ./setup
./setup: line 30: bin/xtpsetup: cannot execute binary file
plus more stuff.

# file tpsetup
tpsetup: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, AMD x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.4.1, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), stripped

Could this be a problem because I'm running 2.6.15? Especially since it is
dynamically linked (why didn't they make a static???)

Is there any other solution? Canon has OS-X drivers - but no Linux...
