In my opinion, that is the most dangerous piece of road on the planet
during the winter. Take
a) recent heavy, wet snowfall, followed by freezing conditions
b) road just opened but down to one lane in each direction
c) many large semis with chains
d) many large SUVs with yuppies and chains (I can say this because I'm
part yuppie) that never take them off-road
e) everyone in a hurry to get back down off the mountain.
and I'm going through that the day after Christmas. Oh, what fun!
I'd much rather be on I-80 out in the middle of Wyoming in twice as much
snow.
