Wow, haven't thought of that in ages, since I ran a BBS about 8 years
ago. There is an "idle deamon" that you can run, which will disconnect
idle users. With 8 phone lines we had one lurker who would log on and
just perch like a spider waiting for girls to log on and then he'd
request ytalk chat. Of course, I'm watching everything with great
amusement. I would just pull the plug out of meanness, but found it was
so much easier to blame his disconnect on the system by installing the
daemon. I'd set it for like 3 minutes of idle. #$^&*@@....DISCONNECT...
<evil chuckles> This was the same dude we later stun-gunned his telco
box. Pizza, Beer, kill the village idiot's computer... great times.
I just looked around and the idle daemon stuff is for modems. You want
to kill of the kiddies sessions, I found loadsensor.tgz which is
supposed to look for idle keyboard and/or mouse followed by logging out
the user. I like this. Blame the Irish in me, Ric
It's a teeny tiny file, so I'll email attach it to you directly. Ric
