A couple of years back, the quality of the nVida offering was not what
it is today, esp. on Linux. Now, it's just a commodity, even on Linux.
I personally rejected every PC I found with an ATI card when I went
shopping for a PC

On a side note- the competition is coming. At work, we've seen
fantastic improvements in the ATI drivers since AMD took over. They've
even solved the lockups when toggling text mode or gui. Even nVida had
some problems with this one.
