After your post I got curious (o hell, here I go again after a fresh
install about to blow it up!) and tried out that hp program and it
refused to set up for my HP printer... although FC3-4-5-6 always have
installed cups correctly, noting the model number and everything
automatically. Go figure. The hp app suggested that my printer is a
laser printer, which it is not. It's an ink-jet, so I backed out of that
one fast. Nice looking application though, it's a step in the right
direction for HP to take for Linux even if it wasn't right for me.
God, here I am grateful for an app that doesn't work for me. I guess the
karmatic stance is to be patient, endlessly patient. Ric
