bad DVDs?

I just tried to install Debian 3.1 r2 on Two DVDs I purchased from
Cheapbytes.  A far piece in, after running the scan disks for indxes.
and a (g) to install I got partly through  and I got a Media Failure
notice.  Also as it began to transfer (?) the files at the bottom of the
screen there was a (stalled) message as it looked to be transferring?
Are the disks bad?  Looks like that to me.  If I get
a confirmation from you folks I'll send a a message to Cheapbytes for a
replacement.  I've bough disks from them before without any errors.
