So, where are the pics?
Do you all remember the RedHat Expos? I thought they were pretty good. I
put on the Hot Sauce eating contest in 1999. I smoked chicken wings for
three days. North Carolina is in the heart of the Bible Belt, but I
snuck a case of cold ones up on the stage. (a daily dose of larceny is
required for the Irish)
Mad Dog Hall hosted the actual contest. I had come up with a maxim that
the bigger the Geek the hotter the Hot Sauce they can consume. Mad Dog
brought along pure capsicum to try. That's a really big geek! We had two
cases of assorted hot sauces, and they tasted everyone of them on the
wings, gave their assessment of them to the crowd. Every once in awhile
someone would hit the really hot sauce and grab the little paper bag O'
Suds. Can't imagine why RedHat didn't show this time.
Come on down to North Carolina. Chicken wings, hot sauce, beer and La
Crosse, we really can do an Expo and even arrange for bail.
