no SysRq key

Well, it works here too, today! Maybe I did something wrong yesterday. 
I tried alt-sysrq-k and it also worked. Only alt-sysrq-h appears to do
nothing. (No, it works on a vt, not on X!)
showkey -s keeps sending the same output as in my first message, quite
different from what expected from the documentation.
Could you check the output of showkey -s for the SysRq key? I mean this
key _only_, not alt-sysrq-whatever!
Things seem OK, and I would feel confortable with it if only I hadn't
read the documentation!
