When I lived in WV I had some of the guys from one of the railroads (I
think it was Northern Pacific) contact me to ask if I would be willing
to reboot the linux boxes that they used to monitor rail cars and
rail-car safety, if they went completely down. They ran Caldera too!!
Never had the occasion to do a reboot for them, they managed to do
pretty much everything they needed to do from remote.
That was about 8 years ago. Pretty slick what tasks Linux gets put to,
usually the obscure that Management doesn't care how it gets done, as
long as it gets done. Then a geek gets it done. <smiles> Ric
