Oh yeah, and interesting bit of history I discovered while
trashing around doing research for stuff for my MVISAM:

MS SQL IS based upon the source code from Sybase. Seems they bought
a "Source' code and distribution" license many many years ago.

Then layered on the some of the JET engine technology they got
when they bought out FoxPro ...
