Well clearly that doesn't count PGP/MIME signed messages since there's more 
then two of us that sign our messages and I know I've sent more then two 
messages myself.

As for "old curmudgeons", I prefer the term stubborn neo-luddite who hates 
having verifiable message integrity.  I'll grant that the in-line signed 
messages should not be used, but there's really no reason anyone on this list 
should not be checking signatures.  GNUPG is part of most distros and any 
reasonable mail client, from mutt to kmail, can check signatures.
