win-modems

I've just recently left the world of broadband (a nearly $300 cable bill 
will do that) and am faced with several weeks of dialup access, until I 
decide on what DSL provider I'm going to go with. Can anyone recommend a 
winmodem that'll work in linux? I know, winmodems are crap, get a real 
modem... but I'll be using dialup for only a limited period of time, so 
would rather spend $20-30 over >$100...
