I did a search at 
http://www.us.debian.org/distrib/packages#search_packages for various 
permutations of 'free' and 'nx' and didn't come up with anything. Can't 
imagine it's not there as I know it is in Ubuntu.

Also, you'll need to do some reading on how to set it up. Especially if 
you want it properly secured. You'll especially want to generate a set 
of public/private ssh keys for the machines. The default configuration 
isn't particularly secure IIRC.
