iommu & swiotlb

[Net Llama!]

Can anyone provide a clear, concise explanation of the differences 
between iommu and swiotlb?

I understand that AMD has an iommu, whereas Intel does not, but beyond 
that i'm kinda foggy on the details, and how they apply to real life.
