Bingo. It is a supermicro. I also have a 1-U 4-SATA one that sounds like
a jet engine. It does stay cool. My problem with supermicro is their PCI
support. They have pretty much left good old 32-bit old fashioned
connector PCI cards. But I need these cards. For this reason we are
putting intel MBs in supermicro chassis.
