[ubuntu] upgrade from 5.04 to 5.10

I didn't use Ubuntu as a desktop (but as a linux router+server). SO 
can't comment on those gadgets. Basically everything moved smoothly. 
Must think twice when you answer Yes/no as it could mean losing your 
hand-made config files. BACK UP config files FIRST.

The link didn't mention about the mini-terminal in Synaptic thing,
