Foxpro and dbase got transaction neither. But they have been serving 
small-medium business for decades (I myself have maintained a 
10-year-old Foxpro app that help the company to go public). They are 
also great tools for applications like POS.

MySQL+PHP is more or less a reminiscent of this combo.
