Perhaps you may want to do this:
1. Clear the browser cache and delete all cookies (or the Google ones)
2. If you know of a open proxy server in the US or UK, set your browser 
to use that proxy.
3. (if you don't know of any proxy servers, you could try 
http://www.guardster.com, I think. Haven't tried it though.)
4. Google would then think that you come from the US or UK and give you 
the corresponding cookie for that country.
