Video Display Size in a Laptop

Folks,

Sometimes I feel like the village idiot.  This is one of those times.  I 
know the question was asked on this forum, and answered.  I know I've 
used that answer.  I can't remember it. I can't find it in the last 
year's messages, either.

My old IBM 770 laptop has SuSE 9.3 running on it and is only using the 
middle third of the screen when I set it to higher resolution.  Someone 
on this forum pointed out a simple keystroke combo that makes it use the 
full display.  Can one of you kind people refresh my intermittent memory 
about how to do this?  Thanks.  I'll put the answer on my memory stick 
this time, instead of on a machine that can die.
