OpenSUSE, Anyone?

Maybe not "0wn3d" but defaced.
I'm using 10.0 RC1 as I type (home), I haven't used 9.3, I'm currently
using Mandrake 10.1 Official (work). I'm impressed as a desktop user,
my home system is a 3.0Ghz Intel BTX CPU/motherboard combo and
everything worked great. The desktop works great, though I've only
been using it off and on.
On servers I either use RHEL or CentOS. However, I'm trying to decide
whether I should go RHEL or SUSE on a Computer Science lab I'm
replacing. Currently it's running Solaris 8 on Sparc and my choices
are Solaris 10, RHEL or SUSE on either Intel or AMD, depending on the
Workstation vendor I choose. A few months ago it would have been RHEL
or Solaris on Intel (Mandriva became a no go for me).
Anyway, I'm waiting for 10.0 final and I may switch my work machine to
SUSE if Mandriva 2006 doesn't impress. Both come out on the same day
:^)
Anyone catch the interview with Gael Duval in Linux Format magazine?
Whew, not impressed. Enough to make me have second thoughts of using
Mandriva.
