I'm not sure how much greater your problem is compared to my situation.
Less than a block away, there is a fruit packing plant that plays hell
on my equipment. In the first month here I lost two pc power supplies
and a UPS. I ended up placing a AC Powerline 20A EMI Filter (Corcom)
with a large 350V MOV on the input and 150V MOV on the output. I placed
a fast-blow fuse on the input so that a large spike being grounded blows
the fuse. I've replaced many fuses since then and have not lost power
supplies nor UPS's . The emi filter is listed on the bottom of the page
of the URL listed below. If you want any info just ask.
