Was this in Vietnam? A couple years ago, I had the privilege to work
with a girl from Hanoi. It was very interesting, because previously, I'd
only known Vietnam from movies ("Indochine" with Catherine Deneuve,
"Rambo", etc.) and TV. This girl was nothing like I expected. First, she
was quite cosmopolitan and cultured (her parents are doctors), and she
seemed quite up to date on the latest technologies. No memories of the
war, and she used to attend performances at the Opera House in Hanoi (a
replica of the one in Paris, so I am told, and one of the settings in
Indochine).
Wow, I have really digressed!
