But not from 2.4 to 2.6? And when the next series after 2.6 is out?
If I understand correctly, in 2.4, the software RAID was 'Version 1'. In
2.6 it is 'Version 2'. Version 2 supports Version 1 RAID systems. You
can even still make a Version 1 RAID system with Version 2
implementation. But I wonder how far this will go? And, has anyone done
this between RAID version? Is there an upgrade path short of a
backup/restore? I know, you would do a backup first anyway...
(By 'Version' I mean the version of the Linux RAID code, not RAID
Levels.)
