Windows problem for me.
I have a laptop and got a new drive for it so that I could have XP pro or Linux to
boot by drive selection. All is ok except: On laptop running XP pro in a Explore tree
list that list the network drives for a certain workspace. On all systems I use
theWORKSPACE = SIVERNELL. All machine 4 Linux and Win 2k box see all other machines
and mount shared according to their syst req. The XP pro on my laptop however can not
see any othermachine, including itself, workspace is empty. Win 2K machine can see
the XP pro machine and open its shared folders. Now XP want to be master of all, but
I am wondering if the broadcast and login to XP requires something otherthan clear
text for it to work. Any one have any ideas here?
A seond question: Is there a tool or script that reads the pid that has hold of a
socket port, like 631. Cups fails with:
/etc/init.d/cups start
Starting cupsd done
RSivernell:/opt/downloads/kde/kdbg-2.0.0 # cupsd: Child exited with status 98!
RSivernell:/opt/downloads/kde/kdbg-2.0.0 #
/var/log/cups/error_log say some one has the port 631 and resource is busy.
This even on reboot of system
cheers
