I've used SimplyMEPIS a little, but my first attempted inistall didn't
go very well... in fact, the installer bombed on partitioning.  This
was on my primary Linux box, and I didn't pursue it much beyond that.
I like the idea of a fully-functionaly bootable live-CD and an
installer running from there.  It's pretty slick.  I didn't like their
color scheme, and I hate to admit that it probably weighed heavier
than it should have :\
