hard drive noise

True, True.  I have noticed.  I have also noticed that I have not had to 
replace any of my WD drives yet.  I used to use Maxtor.  I had a total 
of two drives survive the warranty period.  One got replaced twice, 
under warranty.  I am willing to accept a slightly higher noise level.
