I dunno know the answer to your question, but I'd look first at k3b. It's 
widely regarded as the most sophisticated Linux burner app available. Updates 
and new capability come at a fast pace. Course, it's probably still dependent 
on everyone's favorite love-to-hate utility cdrecord.
