Are you sharing the interrupt with another device? Perhaps one that has
a crappy device driver. USB on the same interrupt can be a problem. One
of our VME PC suppliers tells to turn off the USB is you expect real
time performance on their cards. The shared interrupts are not very
deterministic. But it should not make things so slow...
