Hi Mat,

Going back to you mail immediate to this one: Yep am holding up but a
few things let me down occasionally, like knee joints and shoulders with
arthyrightus. Otherwise I have been travelling well, apart from memory.

A question: you just might know something about.
I use $Windows as dual boot because I am mostly into multimedia and ther
is a dearth of useful programs on any sort of linux that would be useful
to me.

I have a tv capture card, but it does not work in linux due to it being
a Nebula Digitv B878. There appears to be nothing at all that will
capture its stream in linux. Iam using Suse 9.3 X64 and in dmesg the
card is identified correctly the correct module is there (NX6000) but
all capture progs are as far as I can see analogue. Kaxtv says iits will
see digital but to no avail as does one of KDE tv progs, it also fails.
Of course if I get there I will want to capture to HD.

I am also into DVD authoring and associated stunts. I have a pioneer A08
and do burn dual layer. There does not seem to be anything for ease of
authoring and to do dual layer around for linux, got to be a gui prog.
Its no use to me being in command line these days, once I could remember
the commands now I don't. Its case of use it daily or forget it.

Another is that I have a new dvd player with divx and I get given some
dvd to play with xvid. The sound is fine but the video is poor, is there
anything I can use to convert xvid to divx. I know they are supposed to
be the same, one free the other pro, but they obviously are not.
