To give you the results of some measurements I've taken - in several 
consecutive trials for each page (firefox on a 1000 MBit/sec dsl 
connection).
Times were taken between hitting the 'reload' button, after clearing the 
cache each time, and the fully loaded page:
Index: 1 min 10 sec
Sunrise/Sunset: 60 sec
Birds: 1 min 40 sec
