Oh, Kurt.  That's right out of the Lazy-Maintainers-Manual (or was that
the "Plain Common Sense Developer's Pamphlet"?

Either way, I prefer that one as well.  Only cutters (aka sick people)
who have to use the latest IE widget should use the "bleeding edge"
approach.  That said, I have once in a while made an occasional
conditional for a specific browser need...  but not writing the page
twice or duplicating JS-includes and all that.  But the ones who
*really* scare me are those who think Flash is required for everything,
including the static page..  Hammer.
