Perhaps you are trying to do too much. Sit back and enjoy the blinking
lights. Resist your first impulse to interfere. Just drag the content
you want into place and press Burn.

If I have any complaint about k3b, it would be that I see no way to tell
it to follow symbolic links. Other than that, it has worked great at
making data CDs, VCDs, SVCDs, and audio CDs from MP3 files. I have used
it to rip CDs to MP3 and (IIRC) to FLAC. I have no experience with it
for DVD burning as, for some mysterious reason, I do not have a DVD
burner.
