OT: Is the Athlon XP deprecated?

I was trying to find out why Athlon XPs seem to be in short supply 
(especially the lower-end models). Came across this "product roadmap":

The Athlon XP isn't even listed in any category. Only the Sempron. I had 
always thought the Sempron to be a counterpart to the wimpy Celeron. 
Which this seems to confirm:

The Sempron does not seem like a suitable replacement for the Athlon XP 
but neither is the Athlon 64.

Did I miss the memo about the Athlon XP being a goner?
