When's the last time you tried it? The last few iterations of K3B have been 
painfully simple to setup and run. It just works.
$ rpm -q k3b
k3b-0.11.18-0.1.2.kde
on
$ uname -r
2.6.9-1.6_FC2
with
$ rpm -q kdelibs
kdelibs-3.3.2-1.6.2.kde
Fedora Core 2
