 Your printer configuration is stored under .openoffice in your user directory 
and your printer setup may persist when you upgrade OOo.

 On a Debian system these commands are in a package called cupsys-bsd: "This
 package provides the BSD commands for interacting with CUPS.  It
 is provides separately to allow CUPS to coexist with other printing
 systems (to a small degree)." It may be packaged differently on an RPM-based
 system.
