Printing problem

I'll check that, thanks.  I think this is something different though
'cause all jobs reach the printer, just some applications print properly
while OpenOffice.org and Firefox print unfiltered postscript.

What's coming out of the printer is the same as what is seen if one
prints to file (postscript) from OpenOffice.org, then opens that file in
Emacs.

ie;
%!PS-Adobe-3.0
%%BoundingBox: (atend)
%%Creator: OpenOffice.org 1.1.3

and so on for thousands of lines.

One possible work-around that I haven't tried yet is to replace the
"lpr" command in OpenOffice.org's spadmin dialogue with "kprinter
-stdin"

Seems like a kludge though, even if it does work. :-(

Am learning a thing or two about printing under Linux though.  Next to
try is set LogLevel to debug in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf and try printing
from a couple of apps that work and a couple that don't.
