| Subject: usb mounting
| The below is found in the dmesg, what do I mount so I can get my pics off
| the camera?

Not sure if a digital camera works the same as a USB hard drive, but
here's what I do:

1. Execute /sbin/fdisk -l
- - This will give you all the storage devices currently on your system.
USB hard drives show up as SCSI devices (typically /dev/sda, if you have
no SCSI devices on your system)

2. Create a mount point, then mount the device
Example: mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/usbdisk

3. You should then be able to see the files inside your USB device.

- - OR -

If you are using Fedora Core 3, and hal, just plug your device in. It
should show up as a mount point under /media.
