Yeah, I know the feeling! It's not half bad, just different enough
that I haven't the energy to learn all the things necessary to make it
a success. Plus, there's the not so sneaking suspicion that before
long, as with any binary distro, FC4 will be there and it will be an
unnecessary PITA to deal with.
Besides, any time I want eye candy, I can drop out of XFCE long enough
to realize that neither KDE nor GNOME has a lot to offer for me
(there's that word again).
The one thing that keeps me from doing more than toy with FC3 or most
any distro other than Debian or Gentoo is the lack of packages. In
order to duplicate the environment I'm running on Gentoo, I would need
to descend into RPM hell searching for (potentially noxious) packages
all over the place.
