Suse & sylpheed problem

  I have upgraded my wife's machine to Suse 9.2, It seems glib & gtk and all are now in /opt/gnome/lib and I can not get sylpheed to make the makefiles, it says there is no GLIB, check you gtk_config. Well I can not find one of those. Is there an easy way to fix this?
