Same here. I use Windows more than I want to admit. But setting Mozilla 
or Firefox as default means I never see IE unless I run it purposely 
(for Windows Update, MS Knowledgebase, or the increasingly *very* rare 
web page that won't work in Moz).

If IE is popping up on its own, 99% probability you have some 
spyware/adware running.
