I have not tried it in Linux yet but I'm in the process of installing
Linux on my 5 gig iPod so it can play Ogg Vorbis files.  I have 
downloaded
all the files and docs and just need to set aside some time to complete 
the
project.

I have heard that there is no problem accessing the iPod from Linux.  I
don't know if it will work with the $99 iPod.  I plan on getting one of 
these
for my wife so I can get my 15 gig iPod back.
