Ubuntu CD's for Free

I did end up downloading the ISO and I like it.  It's a pretty simple system 
to start, but enabling other repositories (and of course finding an FTP 
mirror) has opened a lot of options.  The software is a little stale, and 
there aren't as many options as Gentoo (as I already mentioned) but how can 
you compare a Source-distro to anything for those details?

I like my first experience with a Debian-kinsman.  MEPIS is not quite as 
polished as Ubuntu seems to be, but it's not bad either.  I'm still loving my 
SuSE gone APT :)
